I Got Fired As an Adventurer, So I’m Starting Anew As an Alchemist! Frontier Exploration? Alright, Leave It to Me! - Chapter 78 - Galaxy Translations (2024)

78. The Final Boss Appears At The End, Isn’t It?

When Camille declared, “I’ll do it,” Raidoc glanced at her for a split second.

At that moment, the Boss Frog’s tongue attacked Raidoc.

“[Rainbow Barrier]!! Don’t let your guard down!”

“Sorry!”

Just in time, a defensive spell deflected the tongue attack.

It’s a relief the tongue didn’t nullify magic!

During this exchange, Camille snatched the barrel I was holding.

“Hey! Camille!”

“I’ll do it.”

Moving with surprising speed despite being chest-deep in water, Camille hugged the barrel and scattered the combustion agent over the Titan Duke Frog.

Such skill!

Camille has the emblem of a swordsman, but her fighting style is unique. She fights more like a ranger or assassin.

Only Camille, who excels in speed and agility, could execute this strategy. I understand why Raidoc lost his cool.

It’s too dangerous.

But since she already went ahead, we have no choice but to follow through.

The problem is, not just around us, but around the boss, the Titan Duke, there are plenty of Baron Frogs.

At this rate, Camille will be isolated.

“Damn! Solar and Jitaro, follow Camille! Craft, cover the gaps!”

“““Roger!!!”””

Raidoc’s quick decision to send the two archers to Camille was impressive.

Leave it to us!

I repeatedly cast attack spells just to keep the Barons at bay, without using powerful spells that consume a lot of mana.

Using attack magic in succession in a real battle makes you realize how inefficient it is in terms of mana consumption.

While drinking mana potions to recover, I keep the Barons from getting close.

Mana potions are limited due to their ingredients, so I use them efficiently.

“Still, Camille’s moves are unbelievable,”

Bardock, having used up his mana potions, stops casting attack magic and focuses on assessing the situation.

“Yeah, even Soral would find those moves difficult.”

Even compared to Soral, who has the ranger’s emblem, Camille’s movements are smooth.

Maybe Camille’s emblem isn’t the optimal swordsman’s emblem, but rather one more suited to her, like mine?

Well, it’s not that her current emblem is a bad match like when I had the magician’s emblem.

No, this isn’t the time to think about that.

I launch a flame spear at the Baron Frogs attacking from both sides to maintain the front line.

Meanwhile, Camille glides over the water, scattering combustion agent, sometimes riding on the giant frog’s back and sprinkling powder.

Her figure, evading tongue attacks from the Baron Frogs coming from all directions, looks like she’s dancing.

“Craft-san! Isn’t it about time!?”

Jitaro, shooting arrows at the Barons approaching Camille, shouts.

A glance at the Boss Frog shows its body covered in powder. Camille discards the now empty barrel.

“Raidoc!”

“Alright! Camille, fall back! Fire arrow, Soral!”

“Got it!”

Soral immediately takes out a cloth and soaks it in oil. Confirming Camille has retreated to Raidoc’s position, she shoots the flaming arrow at the frog.

“Time to fry!!!”

Soral shouts with intense spirit.

…Indeed, with its body covered in powder, it does look like chicken coated in flour. Are you hungry in this situation?

As the flaming arrow pierces the Boss Frog, a massive blaze erupts from the combustion agent.

It’s a special concoction designed to incinerate a pile of co*ckatrice corpses without a trace. The heat is tremendous.

Fortunately, the alchemical agent isn’t nullified by magic, which is a relief.

The immense heat evaporates the Titan Duke Frog’s bodily fluids.

“Craft! Eva!”

“Right!”

What’s the optimal spell in this situation?

The fire has already dealt damage. Add more fire? No, that’s not optimal.

I want to deliver heat damage deep inside its body.

This frog is more vulnerable to physical attacks.

Now that the magic nullification is gone, physical damage is ideal.

Since we’re in a watery area, I avoided using earth magic!

Though it requires more steps and mana to create rocks, it’s the best solution now!

“Eva! Earth magic! Blow a big hole in that fat gut!”

“Got it!”

She understands my intent immediately.

“Raidoc! We’re launching a big one! If it fails, we retreat!”

“Understood! Everyone, protect the two of them!!”

“““Roger!!!”””

Eva completes her magic formation and unleashes her spell!

“Watch this! Raidoc-sama! [Spiral Stone Piercing Spear]!!!”

A massive stone spear materializes above Eva and pierces the Boss Frog at high speed.

Its power is enough to demolish a small mansion.

Though the previous wounds from Raidoc’s and my attacks had nearly healed, the giant stone spear pierced the mending spot, making the Titan Duke Frog scream toward the sky.

“Ribbitrooooar!!!”

Indeed, without magic nullification, physical mass attacks are effective!

I activate my magic formation, channeling a surge of mana through my emblem.

“Explode! [Meteorite Crusher]!!!”

Above me, a colossal rock pillar far larger than Eva’s spear forms.

Spinning rapidly, its penetration power reaches its peak.

With a “boom,” it flies out at an invisible speed.

It’s like a falling star.

The crusher pierces through the Titan Duke Frog’s massive body, exits the other side, and continues, engulfing all the Baron Frogs in its path, before crashing into the opposite bank of the swamp, sending up a huge column of water.

“What power!”

“This won’t leave any impression of Raidoc-sama!”

“Haah! Craft-san really doesn’t know the meaning of restraint!”

“Well done, Craft-kun!”

I’ll deal with Jitaro later.

The Boss Frog, with a huge hole in its body, stands there dumbfounded. It may not comprehend what happened.

Then, crimson flames surge inside, igniting its body from within.

“Ribbitribbitroarooaaaarrr…!”

With a final cry, the Titan Duke collapses.

Even its regeneration couldn’t keep up, turning it into ashes.

“Well done, Craft-kun!”

“Great job, Craft!”

“I understand now. My true enemy is him.”

Wait, Eva, hold on! That’s totally unjust!

I try to evade urgently.

“Raidoc! Eva’s magic was incredible too, right!?”

“Hm? Ah, of course! Without Eva, our lines might have broken long ago. She really pushed herself, drinking all those mana potions. Thank you, Eva.”

“Raidoc-samaaaa!”

“…Craft. We need to talk later.”

Wait a minute! Now it’s Soral!?

What do I do!?

“Tonight, it’s a fried frog!”

“Can we eat it?”

“Fried frog is delicious?”

“That’s not what I meant!”

Without the Titan Duke Frog’s control, the Baron Frog’s movements slow down.

Returning to wild frogs, some flee while others attack us randomly, but they’re no match without coordination.

Paralysis poison would make them terrifying enemies, but my alchemical agent prevents that.

“Craft!”

“Craft-san!”

The lizardmen from the village run towards us.

“We saw it all, Craft! Raidoc! You are true heroes!”

Julala, the village chief’s deputy, claps us on the shoulders.

“Leave the rest to us and rest in the village!”

“Are you sure? There are still many left.”

“Thanks to Craft, we’re immune to paralysis. We won’t lose.”

“I see… Alright. Honestly, that’s a relief. We’d run out of mana potions in another fight.”

“Take your time to rest. Shururu, guide our heroes!”

“Got it!”

“Watch your language!”

“Yes… Understood!”

“Good grief…”

Leaving Shururu with us, the lizardman warriors charge at the remaining Baron Frogs.

Shururu was the female lizardman we first met in the forest.

She’s Jurara’s sister, but they look nothing alike. Jurara looks mostly like a lizard, while Shururu looks like a human with a tail. And she’s well-endowed.

Once Jurara is out of sight, Shururu suddenly hugs me. What’s happening!?

“Craft-san! That was amazing! You were so cool!!”

Her strong embrace makes my mind go blank for a moment.

There’s an incredibly soft feeling!

“Th-Thanks!? C-Calm down!”

I grab her shoulders and manage to pull away.

And I see her ample chest armor!

Though it offers no defense, it deals significant mental damage to men!

Maybe it’s the traditional lizardman attire, but the cleavage exposure is vast!

A mountain gorge with two soft dragons squeezed tight!

My mind’s a mess, but I can’t look away!

“Craft-san, you’re easy to read. It’s quite something.”

Don’t read my mind!

Ahh! Even Leafan is giving me a cold look!

It’s not what you think! It’s pure curiosity!

“Well… if you want to see… maybe at night…”

For some reason, Shururu hooks her fingers into her collar, showing more cleavage.

No, stop! I can’t see the peaks of the mountain!

“…You’re the worst, Craft-kun.”

Eek!

We defeated the Boss Titan Duke, but now a scarier boss has appeared!

It’s a misunderstanding! A misunderstanding!!

“Craft-san, you deserve it.”

Noooo!!!

Thus, we saved the lizardman village from crisis.

For some reason, in exchange for the title of pervert…

I can’t understand it!!
